I have switched paper from the very thick German Etching paper I was using to a slightly thinner stock (210gsm) The paper still has a lightly textured surface and a natural colour.
The reason for the change is problems when posting artwork to people. The original thicker paper, was too thick to roll without creasing, so I had to send it out flat. I always strongly reinforced the envelopes, but some still got bent. I always replace artwork which does not arrive in good shape, but it was happening a little too often.
Happily, the new paper is just thin enough to roll safely in a tube!
I still have some of the older thick paper for patrons who want an exact match with previous prints they have bought. Be sure to let me know when ordering if you prefer the old paper.
